My 4 year old son. Any ideas or suggestions on how to channel his energy?

We both work full time and are out of energy by the end of the day. We do play games, puzzles, sports and crafts, but by the end of the night he seemingly gets another burst of energy and it gets tiresome to corral him. C’mon Mom and Dad’s out there, what would you do? Let me know your thoughts! Bedtime is at 9:00! Thanks and peace-
Thanks to all for the great answers. Your insight is much appreciated. For the record, we did have an 8pm bedtime, but all that resulted in was him being up at 5 in the morning ready for the day.

have him in a routine. lets say you eat at 6…tell him b4 dinner is play time but after dinner it is time to settle down..maybe watch a short movie, read a book, do something quiet and relaxing and tell him by when the clock says 8 3 0 it is time to start brushing teeth, putting on pjs, things like that..good luck!…if he is not a good listener maybe try a sticker chart and reward him.
